What is a FUN vacation to consider?
My boyfriend and I would like to take a real fun vacation this year. we would like to spend $5000 or less. Some things to know about us:
We like to drink… and we dont like to drive. lol
4/20 could be everyday as far as we are concerned
we hate schedules and agendas….
we are not to big on clubs/dancing but we do enjoy strip joints (female dancers)
we LOVE FOOD…. and love tasting new things
Not much to go by i know… We have gone on 2 cruises and have had a blast!!! Should I go for a 3rd or try some other form of traveling.
I am considering: las vegas, amsterdam, hawaii, costa rica, mexico, bahamas.
If you have gone to any of these, please give me your experience and budget.
*Can I go to Amsterdam for $5000 or less, if so, DETAILS!
Please give me details… im not a great vacation planner.
Amsterdam is always a great place to visit and you certainly should be able to do it for less than $5000 depending on how long you stay and when you go. You can find airfares on sites like: http://www.expedia.com/default.asp , http://www.kayak.it/flights?ispredir=true , or depending on where you’re coming from http://www.skyscanner.it/
I use this site for hotels in the Netherlands: http://www.hotels.nl/ Amsterdam always has a lot to see and do – it seems like there are hundreds of museums dedicated to almost any conceivable subject. It’s also very easy to get around the city on foot or using public transportation and there are good connection using the trains to explore more of the country. There are tons of interesting restaurants with all kinds of cuisine.
Another great possibility that meets your criteria is Prague. Again, the old town is pretty compact with a lot of things to see and do. The castle alone is worth a day. There’s also a lot of interesting food. Try the Medovnik if you go. In addition to all the museums, galleries and other tourist attractions, there’s a lot of your kind of entertainment. Personally, I like some of the jazz clubs. Prague is also one of the few cities I know with an interactive beer map of the city. http://www.nelso.com/beer-price-map-of-prague/ You can use the above sites for air fares. I use this site for hotels: http://www.venere.com/czech-republic/prague/ . Generally Prague is a little cheaper than Amsterdam although not as inexpensive as it was a few years ago.
